Chinese green tea is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis. The leaves are first picked and then dried in the pan, wok or in the sun. Then the leaves are rolled in different shapes. For example in pearls or spirals. The drying process ensures that the tea gets a golden yellow color. This makes the taste of the tea sweet and slightly less spicy than the Japanese tea.
